Mr. Sammons was a very successful personal injury litigator and trial attorney for over thirty-eight years. In recognition of his outstanding accomplishments as a trial lawyer, Mr. Sammons was honored with induction as a Fellow in the prestigious and exclusive American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL). He has been recognized by Super Lawyers every year since 2010 and Best Lawyers in America since 2014. In 2019, in recognition of his skills as a mediator, Mr. Sammons was inducted into the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals (NADN).
From 1978 to 2013, utilizing his prior military medical training and experience, Mr. Sammons managed a broad range of personal injury litigation including medical malpractice, trucking accidents, products liability, premises liability, governmental tort liability, and automotive liability. Mr. Sammons has favorably resolved thousands of litigated matters for both plaintiffs and defendants and has been lead trial counsel in over seventy-five successful jury trials at the state and federal level.
Calling upon his decades of litigation and successful litigation and courtroom trial experience, Mr. Sammons now limits his practice to conducting mediations and arbitrations, popular forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). His advanced ADR training includes the comprehensive "Mediating the Litigated Case" course at Pepperdine University's renowned Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution; advanced training from the Dispute Resolution section of the American Bar Association; and, training in Mediation with the Institute for Conflict Management. In addition, Mr. Sammons has also successfully completed training in Professional Facilitation, and in Organization & Relationship Systems Coaching. Mr. Sammons' ADR practice includes mediations, arbitrations, conflict coaching, group-think facilitation and peacemaking - all effective tools to help clients resolve their disputes without the need for trial or even litigation.
